In early April 2026, the BBO team attended Breakthrough Omnichannel 2026 — a flagship event co-hosted by Haravan and Meta Business Partners, bringing together hundreds of Vietnam’s leading retail and technology companies. Our goal was simple: to hear firsthand how the market is actually shifting — not from a report, but from the people operating in it every day.

What Is Breakthrough Omnichannel 2026 — and Why We Were There

Breakthrough Omnichannel 2026 is Haravan’s annual flagship event focused on multi-channel retail (omnichannel) and the evolving landscape of digital commerce. This year, the spotlight fell on two areas actively reshaping how consumers shop: Social Commerce and Conversational Commerce — the practice of selling through Messenger, Zalo, and other messaging platforms.

We didn’t attend to showcase our services. We came to stay close to the market — to better understand the digital transformation challenges our clients are navigating, so we can serve them more effectively.

Key Insights From Meta’s APAC Expert

The most compelling session came from Ms. Camelia Le, Strategic Partner Manager for Business Messaging at Meta APAC. Three takeaways stood out to our team:

  • The buyer journey is no longer linear: Vietnamese consumers now discover products on Reels, ask questions via Messenger, and complete their purchase on a website — sometimes within a few hours. Businesses that can’t manage multiple touchpoints will lose customers at every gap.
  • Conversational Commerce is no longer “the future”: It’s the present reality for Vietnamese retailers right now. Response speed and quality through messaging channels has become a direct competitive advantage.
  • Behavioral data is an asset — if you know how to read it: The businesses winning on social aren’t just posting more content. They know exactly which content drives conversion, and they optimize accordingly.

“Omnichannel isn’t a technology problem — it’s a consistency problem. Customers don’t care how many platforms you run. They only care whether their question gets answered at the right moment.” — BBO team reflection, post-event

What This Means for Businesses Working With Us

The insights from Breakthrough Omnichannel 2026 reinforce what we see directly in our projects: traditional businesses are under intense pressure to go multi-channel fast, but often lack the technical foundation to scale across channels without failure.

If you’re expanding into omnichannel — running your store across a website, e-commerce platforms, and social simultaneously — now is exactly the time to make sure the technical layer behind it is solid. A missed order, unsynchronized inventory, or a broken payment flow between channels can undo every marketing dollar you’ve invested.
